Gary Farr and his ever-changing T-Bones had just three singles and an EP to their name on Columbia in 1964-65. Hear them as a vibrant four-piece on side one of this EP with Vince Whetherall’s guitar driving them through powerful versions of Dylan’s Maggie’s Farm and the soulful Give All She’s Got. The five-piece band are performing the R&B classic Wooly Bully at the Richmond Jazz & Blues fest. Then two tracks from 1966 with perhaps the most interesting line-up featuring the king of trad Chris Barber on trombone with future Nice luminaries Keith Emerson and Lee Jackson. Nice solo on Rock Candy, Keith!
